About us

The manufacturing plant your brand doesn't have

Flex Group S.r.l. specialises in the contract manufacturing of high-technology cosmetics, with tailored solutions for brands that look for quality, flexibility and innovation. Flex Industry is the division that does it: the registered office is in Rome, the plant is in Palermo.

Our laboratory develops modern formulations, selecting high-quality raw materials and advanced cosmetic technologies, with particular attention to plant-derived exosomes, biomimetic peptides, polynucleotides, hyaluronic acid and other innovative actives, in full compliance with European cosmetics legislation.

We follow every stage of the project: from research and development to formulation, from manufacturing to packaging.

  • Quality
  • Innovation
  • Reliability

What we make

Cosmetic formulations, in the formats your product needs

We work on formulations that clients bring already defined, and on formulations we develop ourselves from an idea. In both cases the scope is cosmetic: appearance of the skin, hydration, surface protection, cleansing.

Creams and emulsions

Face and body emulsions, filled into tubes, airless bottles, jars, sticks or any other format the client requires.

New-generation actives

Plant-derived exosomes, polynucleotides, biomimetic peptides and hyaluronic acid, selected among high-quality raw materials.

Sterile vial formats

Vials for professional use, for formulations that require sterile single-dose packaging.

Creams with sun protection factor

Formulations with UV filters, developed according to the client’s brief and specifications.

Formulations to specification

We develop bespoke formulations to the client’s specification or request, starting from the result you want to achieve.

Manufacturing technologies

Turbo-emulsification, filling and sealing of tubes and bottles, labelling: all operations take place at the Palermo plant.

Some examples of what we have already manufactured for other brands:

  • Day and anti-ageing face creams
  • Eye contour creams, with sun protection too
  • Eye contour gels
  • Face serums
  • Décolleté creams
  • Cleansing milk and biphase makeup remover
  • Micellar water
  • Lip balms with SPF 15 and SPF 50
  • Cosmetic sprays
  • Sterile solutions for professional use

If your product looks like one of these, we are already set up for it. If it does not, ask us anyway.

Your name on the jar

The product leaves the plant under your brand, not ours. Label, cap and finish are chosen together: we put in the formula and the factory, the name on the jar is yours.

Contract manufacturing

Five steps, from the brief to the pallet

Every project follows the same route. Timings and volumes change; the method does not.

  1. Brief and feasibility

You describe the product you have in mind: intended use, format, volumes, timing. We assess technical feasibility and tell you what can be done and what cannot.

  2. Formula development

We develop the formulation to your specification, or build it ourselves, choosing the right raw materials and cosmetic technologies.

  3. Sampling

We hand over samples and work through the changes until the formula is the one you want to take to market.

  4. Manufacturing

From 100 to 100,000 units per batch. The pilot batch and full-scale production follow the same standard.

  5. Packaging and delivery

Filling, sealing, labelling and packing of the finished product, ready for your logistics.

Production capacity

From 100 to 100,000 units per batch

The minimum batch is 100 units: small enough to test a line without tying up stock. Maximum capacity reaches 100,000 units, for when the line works and needs restocking. It is the same factory in both cases — you do not have to change supplier as you grow.

Compliance and documentation

The product ships, and so does the paperwork

We handle the whole regulatory process and the documentation, in support of the client. For anyone bringing a brand to market this is the heaviest part: the formula gets refined, while the documentation has to be built alongside it and hold up under inspection.

Formulations are developed in full compliance with European cosmetics legislation, and manufacturing is entirely Made in Italy.

  • Product Information File (PIF)
  • Safety assessment — we coordinate it, or it stays with the client
  • Notification on the European CPNP portal
  • Skin compatibility patch tests
  • Efficacy testing

We commission and follow up patch tests and efficacy studies ourselves, working with external laboratories, university ones included.

If you need the detail of what we take care of and what stays with your company, ask us: we will put it in writing before we start.

R&D

The laboratory

The laboratory is where every project starts. You choose the raw material, build the formula, prepare the sample and remake it until it is right.

We work with new-generation actives — plant-derived exosomes, polynucleotides, biomimetic peptides, hyaluronic acid — and with formulations clients bring already written, which then have to be scaled up.

Contact

Tell us about your project

The more detail you give us on format, volumes and timing, the more precise our answer will be. If you already have a formula, bring it: we will assess it as it stands.

Type of product, format, actives you are interested in, the timing you have in mind.
